EU Country ranking GDP per Capita in 2024

The European Union ranks among the world’s most powerful economic areas, and the EU country ranking by GDP per capita is an important indicator. It highlights differences in prosperity, living standards, and economic balance across member states.

GDP per capita (PPP)

GDP per capita (PPP) stands for Gross Domestic Product per capita, adjusted for Purchasing Power Parity. It equalizes the cost of a comparable basket of goods across countries, offsetting differences in price levels. This makes it a more accurate measure for comparing the real standard of living and purchasing power of populations. However, it does not capture the distribution of wealth within each country or the level of individual assets, which vary significantly across the EU
